The London Resort, which is expected to open in 2024, released its new images showcasing the hotel and the shopping zone. The photos show a breathtaking view of the 535-acre complex, which is built on a former cement works in Swanscombe, Kent.
You can see a broad “High Street” walkway surrounded by hotels, with up to 3,500 rooms across the park. There will also be shops and restaurants along the walkway. The London Resort will be the first establishment in Europe since Disneyland Paris in 1992, to be constructed entirely from scratch.
It will be a two-park resort with the first and second gates opening in 2024 and 2029. Upon completion, it will at least three times larger than any other resort in the UK, with a size comparable to that of 136 Wembley Stadiums.
Nearly 70% of the attractions will be undercover due to the unpredictable nature of English weather. The images also reveal the entrance, which will be through the grand plaza. The journey begins with the Studios, a warehouse district dedicated to blockbuster action movies, featuring high espionages and high octane car chases.
Other realms include The Woods, The Kingdom, The Isles, The Jungle, and The Starport, each of which has unique experiences. The park is also organizing webinars and online Q&A sessions to get public feedback.
