“A mistake is a boon in disguise that though comes as a filthy surprise, propels us to rise and make us all the wiser. Hence, there are no mistakes- only lessons.”
We very often come across this term called a “mistake”, which in urban dictionary means “it’s disguisedly an experience towards greater learning”. For all the things not done as per the mentioned norm, we mask it as a mistake. Perhaps, to ward off the explanation.
Sample this: We are all accustomed to the social phenomenon of “GOSSIPING”, no matter how bad or good we are at it but we are bound to gossip, given the fact that we are social animals and going against the norm of gossiping is to alienate oneself from the society. While some get away with the tricks, few are left disgusted and spend sleepless nights thinking, they have done a mistake, that they shouldn’t have gossiped, it’s against their way of living, it’s against their way of thinking. Yet they did it why?
It is because since the day we are born and gain our senses, we are nurtured to behave in a certain way, which is against our inborn nature. Not in sync with who we are. So, every disposition of our hereafter is a forced attempt. An attempt to charm people at times and at times to convince them. This nurtured being is what we call a “personality” and nature, the original we are our” individuality”.
A personality is a mask we put upon our individuality to behave in a certain way, which is fair enough given that not all of us are perfect. A personality, which is a constitution of a certain behavioral pattern to avoid any public clash and ambiguity of behavior is put into effect.
But, in this entire process, we forget that there comes a point in a person’s life when his nurtured personality clashes with his natural individuality. And herein arises a phenomenon called “identity crises”. A stage where we lack a sense of understanding as to who we are? What are we here for? We call it our mistake; we curse ourselves for being at such a stage. This actually not is a mistake at all. It’s a whole new experience which opens our door to our individuality. It’s a stage where the nurtured personality is unmasked. By and by we realize it and mature and become courageous and keep away from things not in sync with our individuality. Ready to face the world.
Hereafter, everything we do is in sync with our individuality, where there is no room for any mistake. It is all about experiential learning. And that’s the reason we have the segregation of cricketers, musicians, businessman to name a few. We have all got the same personality traits. But the trait that dominates our being is what we call our individuality. And, hence, each one of us is different from one another. A person finds his true calling when his individual trait matches the inviting personality trait. And in between what all he does is not a mistake but a learning experience that shows him the way towards his individuality.
Thus, when one comes to face with his individuality, one starts living his experiences, leaving no room for this virtual term called a “mistake”.
