Many businesses have been hit by the repercussions of Covid-19 and it’s no different for the fashion industry. However, all are trying to get back to normalcy, keeping in mind the need to deal with the novel coronavirus.
Dolce and Gabbana, the Italian fashion giant, has announced to host the first physical fashion show during the current pandemic times. The highlights would be the models wearing a mask and the audience maintaining the social distancing. Masks are mandatory for the guests and the backstage people. Most of the businesses are preferring a social meet virtually to follow the lockdown rules and prevent themselves from getting infected. However, after the ease of the lockdown restrictions, the businesses are trying to participate physically. And with regards to supporting the cause of finding a vaccine for the COVID research, Etro, another Italian brand, is also participating in the event.
Humanitas research foundation is conducting research to develop a vaccine for the COVID, and DG is funding this project. The show is thus held at its university campus. Proper safety measures will be taken and strict instructions will be given to the attendees, to avoid any risk. Along with DG and the sponsors of the show, even the guests will be encouraged to contribute towards this social cause.
