Mumbai (Maharashtra): Two women who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus delivered healthy babies and spread happiness to their families.
This historical event happened in Mumbai’s BYL Nair hospital on Sunday.
The doctors from BYL Nair Hospital said it’s a heartwarming incident to everyone. After the delivery, we found babies are healthy and both the babies have tested negative for the deadly virus but we advised the mothers not to feed them as there are chances of virus transmission.
Dr. Ramesh Bharmal, Dean of BYL Nair Hospital, said last week two pregnant women came to our hospital for delivery. After the routine check up, we detected that the pregnant ladies have coronavirus. After that we alerted our doctor’s team and we shifted them to a special pregnancy ward.
He furtherly said still now these babies have no coronavirus, but we have decided to check them after a few days.
