A pandemic that has to be fought through medical systems is being fought more through legal systems. In short increase doctors and not the police, increase protective masks and do not waste time registering cases, and let people decide whether they should lockdown or lookout. The conservative will stay in while the challengers will endure it. For those who come out, ensure the mask is freely available and not sold, ensure people wear it and do not have a choice to wear it. It is the duty of the government to ensure strict adherence of wearing protective’s and ensure social distancing through the police, in which they are good at, rather than asking them to become crusaders. Undoubtedly public participation in wearing masks will be overwhelming, as they are the most vulnerable and police can quarantine the non followers. Thus, people would have been protected; police can ensure that and the government can focus on bringing medical support to the needy, at every nook and corner of the country.
People use an umbrella to shield them from rain, clasp the nose when it stinks, and take a tablet for the ailment and do not lockdown at home. People irrespective of caste and creed care for each other and no individuals knowingly would want to infect others. The government has to capitalize on this rather than foisting fear and panic that will lead people to see cold, cough, fever, runny nose, as coronavirus infection which otherwise would have been ignored by taking doses of paracetamol, hydration, care at home etc and people wouldn’t even realize that they had corona., This would have paved government to have an undivided focus on severe corona cases leading to breathlessness/respiratory problems etc.
The mistakes of the government are, instead of ensuring a simple mask for.
Everyone and the medical system only for the needy, you locked down the entire country, masquerading as protection virtually affecting people, existence and the economy. The existing poor medical system is by itself, an outcome of choices made by the several governments, in addressing public health care through insurance, than actual medical infrastructure, needed for providing quality health care.
Lockdown, clearly not the need of the hour but a thoughtless overdose, prescribed by the reckless government, in treating India against coronavirus, in similar lines of countries of the world. The given below instances shall make a rational mind think why lockdown was a cardinal mistake by the government of the day:
- Doctors and staffs, who treat 100’s of patients in isolation wards, do not get infected, because they wear, the personal protective’s and also the reverse is true, a few get infected too, only makes for a strong case that virus is contagious, through air in close contact only, then why a blanket lockdown?
- The government is screening only international travelers at airports and not even one from the public within the country, is yet another example of the government, calling for countrywide lockdown, without applying its mind.
- What and where is the data of community transmission due to coronavirus? Then why an immediate Lockdown?
When taking the locking down the decision of such a magnitude, why can’t they do a mock drill in one state and take an appropriate course of action based on the outcome to the entire country, or even now, why can’t this be explored by the overconfident government.
