Delhi: The total number of coronavirus cases in India climbs to 96,169, the Health Ministry report said.
India on Monday saw the highest single-day increase of 5,242 coronavirus cases on the first day of the fourth lockdown.
On the whole, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that the country has 56, 316 active cases, while 3,029 patients have died because of coronavirus.
According to data, India has overtaken the coronavirus cases than China, in which the virus has originated.
Prime Minister Modi has extended the lockdown till May 31, with the condition to follow the new guidelines. As per the new guideline, a limited number of activities will be remain to continue, at the same time non-essential activities at 7 am to 7 pm will be strictly prohibited.
