Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir): A horse put under home quarantine after returning to Rajouri from Shopia during the ongoing lockdown 4.0, which is a rare occurance across the country.
The owner of the horse is Tehsildar Anjum returned to Rajourin from Shopia along with his horse. So, the owner and the horse put under the home quarantine because they returned from shopian, a red zone.
The Health Department told ANI that we have got the information that the owner and the horse came from Shopian which is a red zone, so we have taken the man for home quarantine and we do not know what to do with the horse; we called the animal husbandry and had a talk with them. By the time, we sent the man’s sample for the test, so finally we took the decision that horse has to be in home quarantine untill we get the man’s result.
And also Health Department strictly warned the family to keep the horse away from the house and put it in home quarantine.
Dr Imtiaz Anjum, Vetrinary Assistant Surgeon, Animal Husbandry, said that the horse is asymptomatic and we have given antibiotics too.
