The Ministry of Health has issued a new announcement that the exclusion period for doctors, nurses and medical personnel affected by the coronavirus has been reduced from 14 days to 7 days.
The announcement, issued on the 15th of last month, stated that “14 days of isolation should be made in case of coronavirus or infection.”
In this case, the isolation period has now been reduced to 7 days. Even if it does, the department’s official or chief of staff may take the decision to extend the period of isolation if necessary, considering the health of the affected doctors and the nurse.
This directive applies not only to doctors and nurses working in the corona ward but also to those who work in the non-coronal ward.
‘When doctors, nurses, and medical staff are isolated in Corona, their age, health, and whether they have any ailments should be determined by the time of isolation.
According to ICMR regulations, if someone is suffering from chronic illnesses, they should be closely monitored. These conditions should be followed even if they appear to be positive in the corona without symptoms
If the symptoms are mild for medical professionals who suffer from coronary artery disease, they should be isolated at home. Perhaps the symptoms worsen and you need to go to the nearest COVID hospital immediately if oxygen is needed.
Those who do not have much contact with others from medical care may continue to work despite the mild coronary syndrome. If the symptoms worsen, the following steps should be taken to isolate them ”.
