Pakur, Jharkhand: Man charged with possession of huge quantity of explosives.
According to police, one person has been arrested with huge quantity of explosive from the Hiranpur area of Pakur.
At a press conference, Manilal Mandal, Pakur Superintendent of Police said that a total of 100 kgs of high explosive ammonium nitrate, 400 pieces of gelatine, two sacks of ammonium nitrate and two motorcycles have been seized. One person has been arrested.
The police informed that the accused has been identified as Manirul Sheik, a resident of Nalhati, West Bengal.
SP Mandal added that these explosives could have been misused in the upcoming Bihar elections.
Further investigations in the matter are underway.
