New Delhi: Police arrested a man for allegedly killed his girl friend; accused tried to escape with cues from crime shows.
Police said that a 28-year-old man who killed his girlfriend in southwest Delhi, travelled to Agra, Lucknow and Bihar to evade arrest but was finally arrested from a hotel in Assam’s Dibrugarh.
During the investigation, the police found that the accused has taken cues from television shows like ”Crime Patrol”,
The accused identified as Satish Kumar, a resident of Qutub Vihar, was planning to flee to Shillong in Meghalaya from Assam but was arrested before he could do so.
Kumar is a married man. He had an affair with one of his colligues Dishu.
Kumar left his family and started to stay with Dishu. When days passed, Kumar suspect that Dishu may have affair with many, so he strangled her and killed her.
Police checked the CCTV footage and found that the victim, along with the suspect, had entered the room on September 23. However, only the suspect came out of the room a few hours later, and went away on a scooter, which he had borrowed from his friend.
Police arrested the accused and registered a case on relevant IPC sections.
