Cuttack, Odisha: Police arrested 2 men for raping a 15-year-old girl.
The Cuttack Police on Tuesday arrested two men who are accused of raping a minor girl (15).
Sushanshu Sarangi, the Commissioner of Police Bhubaneswar (Cuttack) said in an official statement that a case was filed under POCSO Act in Chauliganj Police station against the two accused men.
The accused are identified as Santhosh Behera and Rakesh Rout.
On receiving the information from the locals, police rescued the minor girl from a poultry farm where she was held and raped for 22 days.
Prateek Singh, the DCP of Cuttack, said that after the girl was rescued on October 13, she was produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
During the investigations, the girl revealed that after a fight with her parents she had run away from home. She was later lured by a youth on the pretext of taking her back home. She alleged that the two accused men raped at a poultry farm for 22 days.
The investigation is still going on.
