India’s battle against Coronavirus will be a success if 10 states defeat it, Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Chief Ministers today at a virtual meeting while reviewing the situation of the pandemic in the country. This is the seventh such interaction with Chief Ministers on the Covid-19 crisis.
“A view has emerged that if we defeat Coronavirus in 10 states, the nation will also win,” the Prime Minister said during the virtual meet with Chief Ministers of these 10 states.
The meeting comes after unfolding “Unlock3” or the third phase of lifting of Coronavirus restrictions across the country that began in the previous month.
The Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and West Bengal attended the meeting which began at 11 AM.
The Prime Minister had also held a virtual meeting with Chief Ministers of six states on Monday itself – Assam, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala – to review their flood situation.
PM Modi’s last meeting with Chief Ministers to discuss the Covid crisis was in the last month.
