Uttar Pradesh government has said that it will not grant permission for holding any religious or public programs till September 30, in view of the Covid-19 crisis.
Avanish Kumar Awasthi, Additional Chief Secretary, Home, informed that Yogi Adityanath, in a meeting with senior officers, told the district magistrates to not grant permission for any religious or public programs till September 30.
Awasthi also assured that the Yogi Adityanath government had also instructed officials to ensure that the restrictions pertaining to time at which the markets would close on Saturday and Sunday are strictly implemented.
The government has also ordered for carrying out intensive cleanliness, sanitization, and fogging drive in all districts. The official informed the drive was important to break the Coronavirus chain in Uttar Pradesh.
