Happy news to the audience who were chilling in their homes watching their favorite movies on Netflix. The new marketing strategy is implemented to help more people discover Netflix.
Netflix India decides to spice up things by offering its subscription fees as low as ₹5.
Netflix India initially entered the Indian market by attracting the mass cinema loving audience with their mouth-watering offers. They offered the first month streaming of no charges whatsoever, even after the viewer decides to discontinue their subscription. Eventually, Netflix India decided to take back its offer which in some ways affected their new incoming subscriptions and adding the fact that many crowded streaming markets have entered like Viu, Hot star, Zee5, Amazon Prime, MX Player and many other, adding the difficulty level for Netflix. Now the Indian audience can watch the new content in their own language which gave the other streaming apps to have an upper hand over the local market.
Netflix offers one of the best types of movies and series viewing experience, where the content is way unique than any other OTT platform. They don’t compromise in quality which can be seen while watching their movies. This is so that they can bring stories uncompromised and highly technical while also offering 4k video quality.
Now they have planned to increase their viewers, by offering its subscription for ₹5. While it may not be believable but it is a hot deal for potential subscribers but not every first user will get this offer. The lucky viewers who will get this offer, must keep in their mind that it is only valid for the first month and to continue their subscription, they would have to pay the usual streaming fee like others, according to their choice.
The users can decide between the usual plans before the end of the first month. This is quite similar to their first time offer (When they wanted to enter the market), but by limiting the subscribers and charging a bare minimum amount of ₹5.
It is still one of the most expensive streaming services in India with subscription charges going as high as ₹799 a month as compared to the other OTT platform. But they have been continuously trying their best to fit into the Indian market according to the needs of the audience. There’s also a mobile-only subscription fee that costs only ₹199.
They’ve always known how to sell their offers as it meets the expectation of the Indians audience. To grab their attention as well as making them a viewer or consumer of their service. This puts up some heat on OTT services and they too have stake up their game in order to gain the masses.
The new marketing promotion is set out to help more people discover Netflix. “Depending on its success, we may start it out more widely,” a Netflix executive told in a statement.
Netflix India is testing the new subscription for select users and will roll it out to a broader audience if it’s successful in adding new subscribers.
