Muzaffarpur: The government school children are fighting against hunger due to no midday meal. During this coronavirus lockdown, the burden has become heavier.
The entire world has affected by the novel virus COVID-19.
In India, Prime Minister Modi has announced lockdown in March. Educational institutions, schools, industries, and everything has shut down due to the pandemic.
Many government school kids have faced burden due to no midday meal.
The midday meal is a scheme which is designed to better the nutritional standing of school-age children nationwide in India.
Speaking to ANI, one of the parents said that “Midday meals are not being provided, the government has not done anything on this yet”.
“The government had promised that our children will get midday meals and money. So far we have not received anything,” said another parent.
The midday meals have disappeared and some young children here are back to working in the fields helping their parents to sow paddy crops, while a few others graze animals.
