Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala): Kerala Government has introduced, android app, BevQ, to buy liquor and over two lakh people have downloaded and the virtual queue has overflowed.
BevQ is an app in which people can preorder their liquor and the purpose of the android app is to control the queue in front of the liquor shops.
Kerala-based Faircode Technologies has developed this application to book liquors from home itself, about 1,82,000 people have booked liquors within two hours of time.
While briefing to the media, Naveen George, the Financial Chief, Faircode Technologies, told that approximately 50,000 users registered between 2 am to 6:30 am on Thursday. The booking has extended for the users who cant book yesterday.
He further said that the application is in playstore. The user has to give their name, address, and pincode correctly and they will get OTP as a verification. The application has all the bars and the all the liquor brands. And the user has to select if they want liquor or wine. After choosing their brand, they will allot a shop along with QR code.
The booking can be done from 6 to 10 AM and the liquor sale will start from 9 to 5 am.
