Chamoli (Uttarakhand): Only 27 people will be allowed when the portals of the Badrinath Temple reopen on May 15, officials said on Monday.
Anil Chanyal, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), said in a statement that devotees will not be allowed entry into the temple during that time. The decision has been taken in view of the guidelines issued by the Centre amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat announced that the Badrinath Shrine will be open on May 15 at 4:30 am.
The ritual of extracting seasame oil for ‘Gaadu Guada’ tradition was performed last week.
