New Delhi: Police arrested four men for allegedly running a fake Ayushman Bharat Yojana Website and duping thousands of people.
The accused identified as Umesh (37), Rajat (33), Gaurav (26), and Seema Rani Sharma (33). They collected Rs 300-500 from each candidate in the name of job registration and almost they collected money from 42,500 people.
The police have registered a case under relevant IPC section and seized their all the possessions, including ATM card, bike, and their bank accounts and the four accused are under the police custody.
While briefing to the media, the police said that the website advertised that 5,116 vacancies across six states including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana. Delhi, and Bihar.
During the interrogation, the accused told that they hatched a conspiracy to fake people so initially they created a fake Ayushman Bharat Yojana trust and after that they impersonate website for the trust.
Furtherly the police said efforts have been made to arrest other accused who are involved in this.
