London (UK): The High Court in London has rejected an appeal by liquor tycoon Vijay Mallya.
The decision by the court means that his option for fighting his extradition is nearly exhausted and he faces the prospect of being sent back to Mumbai to face a slew of charges.
Now Mallya has 14 days to seek permission to appeal the High Court’s decision to the UK Supreme Court. If he doesn’t, British Home Secretary Priti Patel will make a decision.
Mallya insists he is innocent of the charges.
