New Delhi: CM Kejriwal expresses his happiness about Delhi Metro service after seven months of lockdown.
Chief Minister of Delhi, Aravind Kejriwal expressed his happiness over the resumption of Delhi Metrorail services from Monday. He requested the passengers to follow the social-distancing rules while commuting.
“I am happy that the Metro services are starting from today. The Delhi Metro has made good arrangements. We all should take precautions and not neglect them”, Kejriwal tweeted.
Delhi Metro restarted its operations from 7:00 am on Monday after being shut for 5 months due to COVID-19. In phase 1, metro services will be resumed on the yellow line connecting Samaypur Badli to Hunda City Centre and Rapid Metro in Gurugram, but currently the services at the containment zones will not be provided. DCMR said that passengers will have to use smart cards as the token system has been temporarily discontinued
