New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting last Monday with Senior Delhi Police officers and top Home Ministry officials on the law and order situation in Delhi.
On Monday, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA)-related protest turned violent, in which five people lost their lives, including a police constable.
According to the Delhi Police, ‘The situation is really worse and ceaselessly we are getting calls from North-East Delhi. Delhi Commissioner of Police held a meeting and alerted the police.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) tweeted, “Jaffrabad, Maujpur-Babarpur, Gokulpuri, Johri Enclave and Shiv Vihar remain closed. Trains are being terminated at the Welcome metro station.
