Two Mumbai Police officers have been summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to a guest house for questioning related to the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
The CBI is questioning suspects connected with the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
One of the police officers who has been summoned is admitted to the hospital. The other police officer is quarantining due to Coronavirus infection, sources revealed. The CBI has also specifically asked the two officers to get some required documents linked to the case.
The CBI has not yet questioned Rhea Chakraborty, the late actor’s close friend who has been accused of several alleged crimes related to the actor’s death. Sushant’s family in Bihar has alleged Ms Chakraborty mentally harassed Sushant, exploited him financially by illegally transferring crores of rupees from his bank account in Mumbai, forcing him to die by suicide.
The CBI team, who has been assigned this case, is the same team that is also looking into an alleged loan fraud case involving liquor baron Vijay Mallya. The CBI has questioned a staff member of Sushant Singh Rajput and his friend Sidharth Pithani. Both of them are key witnesses in the case.
